Position Overview
The Department of Neurobiology at Harvard University invites applications for a tenure track position with a rank of Assistant Professor. We seek an outstanding scientist addressing fundamental questions in all areas of neurobiology, ranging from structural, cellular, and molecular neuroscience to systems and computational neuroscience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research in neurobiology, with a focus on structural, cellular, and molecular neuroscience, systems and computational neuroscience, or related areas.
- Mentor exceptional trainees with strong interests in neuroscience, biological sciences, and related fields.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on publishing high-impact research papers and securing external funding.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Harvard University, the Harvard-affiliated teaching hospitals, and the Boston neuroscience community.
Requirements
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Strong research background in neurobiology, with a focus on structural, cellular, and molecular neuroscience, systems and computational neuroscience, or related areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and trainees.
- Ability to secure external funding and publish high-impact research papers.
