Responsibilities:

  • Transporting and sorting laundry gurneys, including those containing smoke or water damaged items.
  • Operating commercial washing machines and dryers, and loading textiles accordingly.
  • Evaluating items for color and care type, and determining the best cleaning method.
  • Participating in hand cleaning and pressing of delicate or damaged items.
  • Managing the flow of work from room to room, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring supply inventory and maintaining accurate records of loads and processing times.
  • Assisting in other departments as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Experience in a laundry or textile restoration environment is preferred, but on-site training is provided.
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
