Internship Overview

Wall Einhorn & Chernitzer, a leading public accounting firm, is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Tax Interns. As a Tax Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax and assurance engagements, working with a diverse range of clients including multi-family residential real estate projects, closely held businesses, and not-for-profits.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and draft financial statements, tax returns, and other client deliverables
  • Demonstrate knowledge of computer applications routinely used, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and CCH Axcess
  • Understand the risk-based audit approach and basic file structure for engagements
  • Gather appropriate evidence using effective client inquiries, test of details, and basic analytic procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to prepare and complete engagement documentation
  • Effectively communicate information regarding project status to the appropriate supervisor or manager

Qualifications
  • A 'C' or better in intermediate accounting or equivalent course
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with an accounting or accounting-related concentration
  • Junior, Senior, or Graduate school student
  • Strong interest in public accounting and aspiring to obtain CPA certification
