Job Title: Computer Lab Assistant/Proctor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Computer Lab Assistant/Proctor at Western Nevada College. This is a part-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff by answering questions, resolving issues, and promoting college programs and services.
  • Administer college and national testing, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Monitor and maintain computer lab equipment, software, and supplies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement procedures to maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote college programs and services to the community.
  • Enter time sheets and track hours, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience with computer hardware and software is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate student needs.
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
