POSITION TITLE: Logistics Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Juvenile Reporting Center (JRC)

SUPERVISOR: JRC Supervisor

POSITION GRADE: 73 Pay commensurate with education and experience $15.00 - $20.00

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics Coordinator is tasked with the transportation, organization, and support of clients involved in the JRC Program, Workforce Development, and community services. This role emphasizes the provision of quality care and supervision for all assigned clients, ensuring adherence to the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles, and Strategic Plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures compliance with the Agency's Code of Conduct, along with all relevant Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of all client and staff-related information.
  • Coordinates and ensures the safe daily transport of clients to various activities, including employment, shopping, and recreational events.
  • Provides individual and group supervision, ensuring accountability for all youth in care.
  • Completes all transportation documentation accurately and promptly, in line with Agency policies.
  • Collaborates with Facility Operations to maintain cleanliness and regular upkeep of agency vehicles.
  • Demonstrates the ability to travel in various weather conditions across the served counties.
  • Assists recreation staff in developing a weekly activity calendar and supports youth participation in these activities.
  • Communicates with families and youth regarding concerns and support for the JRC program.
  • Coordinates transportation routes effectively throughout the designated area.
  • Transports youth to and from their residences.
  • Participates in and facilitates activities in collaboration with Probation.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to established policies and procedures, offering suggestions for improvements as necessary.
  • Exhibits punctuality and reliability in attendance at work, meetings, training sessions, and other assigned duties.
  • Demonstrates and promotes cultural competency towards clients, families, and staff, achieved through training and Agency cultural initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a valid NY State Driver's License that meets Agency driver guidelines.
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
  • Experience working with high-risk youth is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with adolescents in a residential setting or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must complete all required training within 60 days of employment.
  • Availability to work evening shifts is necessary.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to manage evening shifts effectively.
  • Capability to handle multiple high-risk youth with limited support.
