Job Title: Medical Office Coordinator

Description:

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care at Christus Health. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will perform various services and activities to support patient care, including accurate data entry for patient registration and insurance verification.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to ensure seamless patient experiences.

About the Role:

  • Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in delivering high-quality medical care.
  • Accurately enter charges on patient accounts, register patients, and update patient records.
  • Verify insurance coverage and maintain accurate statistics.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, answer phone calls, keep providers informed of changes, and communicate with patients about their benefits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of medical office experience preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required, state-specific.
  • BLS certification required.

Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday.
Work Type: Full-time.
