Job Description: Cook
We are seeking a talented Cook to craft delightful meals in accordance with our menu. You will prepare dishes that will please our customers with their flavor and prompt delivery. An exceptional cook must be capable of following cooking instructions and delivering well-prepared meals. Proficiency in navigating the kitchen and managing multiple tasks is also crucial. Experience with diverse ingredients and cooking methods is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Establish workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking tools.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking (such as chopping vegetables and cutting meat).
- Cook food using various utensils or grills.
- Monitor food while cooking to stir or turn as needed.
- Ensure excellent presentation by garnishing dishes before serving.
- Maintain a sanitized and organized kitchen environment.
- Ensure proper storage of all food and other items.
- Assess the quality of ingredients.
- Track inventory and place orders when supplies run low.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in food handling and safety (e.g., ServSafe).
- TABC Certified.
