Position Summary:


The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining MRI safety protocols, educating operators, and contributing to innovative research and development initiatives related to advanced MRI technology.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for the MRI facility.

2. Provide training for both new and current MRI Operators, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

3. Organize and conduct safety training seminars for Secondary MRI Operators upon request.

4. Administer Primary MRI Operator Test-Out Exams as needed.

5. Conduct regular Quality Assurance checks and verification of MRI equipment and accessories, documenting findings and maintaining accurate records.

6. Uphold the confidentiality of Class 1 and Class 2 data in accordance with company policies.

7. Maintain secure records of safety documentation and Protected Health Information.

8. Procure necessary supplies and Personal Protective Equipment to ensure safe operations within the MRI environment.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Sciences or Magnetic Resonance Imaging is required; advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are preferred.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

• Fundamental understanding of human and animal anatomy and physiology.

• Prior experience with Siemens MRI systems is advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of MRI physics and safety protocols in a clinical setting.

• Candidates must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
