Responsibilities:
As an MRI Specialist, your duties will include:
- Operating a magnetic resonance imaging scanner to capture diagnostic images for physicians.
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the principles and physics underlying magnetic resonance imaging.
- Selecting appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to ensure accurate examinations.
- Welcoming patients, explaining the examination process, positioning them correctly, performing IV punctures, and administering IV contrast agents as necessary.
- Independently conducting and completing routine imaging procedures.
Ensuring the needs of patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team are met through effective communication, coordination, and documentation, prioritizing safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
Actively engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, care quality, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training is required.
- Current ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry is required.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association is required.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals of all ages is essential.
- A minimum of one year of experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
