Job Title: Associate General Counsel and Procurement Director

Join the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as we seek a highly skilled Associate General Counsel and Procurement Director to support our Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will serve as the lead contact for procurement matters, overseeing the procurement function and contract management for EEA. They will also advise agency counsel and personnel on the Public Records Act, serve as Records Access Officer, and assist with review and analysis of proposed policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the procurement function and contracts for EEA
  • Provide technical assistance and training to EEA managers
  • Support preparation and posting process for public procurement documents
  • Track and monitor supplier diversity compliance
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of legal experience, preferably with contracts and public procurement. They will also have experience in litigation and knowledge of procurement law, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, and be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
