Pediatric Physical Therapist

Job Summary:
The Pediatric Physical Therapist will examine, evaluate, and develop treatment plans for patients with functional limitations and disabilities. This role requires collaboration with healthcare providers, patients, and families to provide consultation and education on patient care and continuum of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care: Provides physical therapy evaluations, interprets findings, develops treatment plans, and implements treatment for pediatric patients.
- Documentation: Accurately documents evaluation results, treatment plans, and daily treatment according to laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards of documentation.
- Communication: Maintains verbal, written, and electronic communication with interdisciplinary treatment teams, referral sources, physicians, and 3rd party payors.
- Leadership Functions: Participates in community outreach, quality improvement, marketing, cost containment, program development, and PTA/AT/aide/student supervision.
- Professional Development: Attends staff meetings, maintains competence through self-study, in-services, and continuing education programs, and provides clinical education to students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Master's or Doctorate Degree preferred.
- Michigan State License in Physical Therapy required; BLS certification required.
