Position Overview:
The primary role of the Event Service Attendant is to deliver outstanding customer service throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications required for this position:
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and comprehend Banquet Event Orders.
- Transport a minimum of 8 entrees per tray.
- Deliver high-quality food and beverage service to guests during events, adhering to established service standards.
- Establish and maintain friendly and professional interactions with guests, anticipating and fulfilling their needs.
- Set up and oversee food and beverage stations in various locations, ensuring compliance with service standards.
- Manage inventory for food and beverage stations.
- Keep all event areas and front-of-house staging areas organized and tidy.
- Assist in both the setup and breakdown of food and beverage service items.
- Work independently during quieter periods.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Engage in high levels of social interaction, collaborating closely with staff and frequently interacting with patrons.
- Adapt to a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
- Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in tasks.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Handle and move objects as required.
- Exhibit a customer-focused, positive, and professional demeanor.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Have a basic understanding of arithmetic operations.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Bend, stretch, twist, or reach as necessary.
- Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy items up to 30 lbs. and frequently 15 lbs.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Respond to simple inquiries or complaints from customers and community members.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
- At least one year of experience in events, banquets, or restaurant settings preferred.
- Must be at least eighteen years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
