PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols by supervising team members and other personnel.
  • Oversee and guide Team Leaders and Maintenance Technicians in their daily tasks.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of external contractors.
  • Facilitate progression through skill development blocks.
  • Handle timecard processing for direct reports within the HRIS system.
  • Assess work performance and address attendance matters.
  • Review maintenance work orders as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Serve as the initial responder for emergency situations.
  • Support corrective and preventive maintenance efforts for equipment.
  • Assist with labor relations in unionized facilities as applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in industrial multi-craft maintenance is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with industrial plant utility systems, furnace operations, and automated systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with effective troubleshooting abilities.
  • Basic proficiency with hand tools, shop tools, powered industrial vehicles, and general office equipment.
  • Ability to produce precise work in a dynamic environment.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for business-related travel.
  • Willingness to work beyond the standard 40 hours per week as needed, including weekends and holidays.
