About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and other preventative measures to ensure the reliability and safety of our vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues with our vehicles, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment as needed.
  • Inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact their performance or safety.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in heavy-duty vehicle repair, and apply this knowledge to improve our maintenance processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field, such as diesel mechanics or heavy-duty vehicle repair, is highly desirable.
  • At least two years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
