The Community Operations Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Community Manager with various property management tasks, which include leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, resident engagement, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities include assisting in leasing apartments by processing applications, conducting property tours, and preparing lease documentation.
Address resident inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, which entails conducting unit inspections and preparing necessary documentation.
Collect and process rent payments, prepare deposits, and maintain accurate resident account records.
Aid in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including occupancy and delinquency reports.
Assist in organizing resident events and activities.
Maintain precise and current resident and vendor files.

Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal Fair Housing laws, along with relevant regulations regarding resident screening, relations, community operations, and marketing standards.

Uphold all property management policies and procedures.
Adhere to safety protocols as outlined in the Employee Handbook, SOPs, and safety labels on equipment.
A minimum of some college coursework in business, real estate, or a related discipline is preferred.
At least one year of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial experience is preferred.
A minimum of one year of experience in onsite multi-family housing is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Familiarity with property management software is preferred (Yardi Voyager, RentCafe, Yieldstar, LEO, and CRM).
Understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to property management is essential.
A customer service orientation and a passion for property management are vital.
A strong desire to lead within your role and the local community is essential.
