Warehouse Training Specialist

The DC Trainer will work closely with the Operations team to provide on-the-job training to new hires and tenured employees in various operational areas of the warehouse. The trainer is responsible for identifying the training needs of each warehouse associate and ensuring that appropriate programs and training methods are created and implemented to meet these needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides training for individual or group settings to new hires as well as tenured employees
- Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency
- Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensures that any additional training requirements are fulfilled
- Documents each training program and module properly and provides follow-up for refresher training courses
- Maintains a training log with trainees and holds weekly one-on-one meetings with new associates
- Functions as a team member within the department and performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying degrees of complexity
- Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to schedules, and dynamically adjust to changing requirements
- Future-thinking and ability to anticipate consequences of actions further in the production chain
- Effective time management to meet dynamic goals and deadlines
- Ability to read and understand policies/procedures and communicate them to employees
- Ability to distill complex technical processes into easily understood instructional steps
- Advanced communicator, both in written and speaking form
- Operate standard business equipment, including PC, phone, calculator, etc.
- Operate handheld scanner and associated equipment
- Operate specialized computer hardware and software, including Warehouse Management System, Item Database, etc.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications
