Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to join our Patient Financial Services team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families, while also ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical bills and insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process and manage medical bills and insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient accounts and billing information.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and guidelines related to medical billing and insurance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, medical billing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
