Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accreditation and Regulatory Specialist to join our team at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining ongoing compliance with Accreditation Standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, and State Licensure Requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities designed to maintain ongoing compliance with all accreditation standards, state licensing requirements, and CMS Conditions of Participation
  • Coordinate organizational response to survey and inspection activity and assist with corrective action planning
  • Participate in educational programs and offerings that support efforts toward compliance with accreditation and licensing standards
  • Provide leadership and expertise regarding accreditation, regulatory, and licensing requirements
  • Actively promote, improve processes, and educate team members to accreditation standards and licensing requirements
  • Maintain accreditation application and related licensing information in coordination with external agency requirements
  • Act as a liaison to population program disease-specific program certifications and designations to external agencies and the organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Healthcare experience required; progressive healthcare leadership preferred
  • Experience in healthcare accreditation and regulatory and licensing requirements preferred
Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs, and may involve periods of walking and prolonged standing.
