Job Description and Duties

As a key member of the Department of Insurance's IT team, the Information Technology Manager II will play a critical role in driving the department's technology strategy and ensuring the effective delivery of IT services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT management, with experience in leading teams and managing complex IT projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the department's IT strategy, aligning with business objectives and ensuring effective use of technology to drive business outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee the IT team, providing guidance and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with departmental priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT projects, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of IT resources and services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management, with a strong background in leading teams and managing complex IT projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality IT services and driving business outcomes through effective use of technology.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex IT issues and develop effective solutions.
Working Conditions
  • Eligible for telework in accordance with CDI's telework policy.
  • Occasional travel may be required within and/or outside the State of California via private or public transportation.
  • Must be able to work in a high-rise building between floors 11-17.
  • Ability to transport documents and/or equipment up to 15-20 lbs.
