About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Attorney to join our legal team on a temporary basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, specifically software contracts, and managing contracts throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including contract execution, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and product development, to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Contract Guidance: Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
  • Contract Efficiency: Maintain contract templates and standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Legal Research and Industry Trends: Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in at least one state required. 6+ years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in the technology industry.
  • Contract Law and Legal Principles: Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Contract Management Software: Experience with contract management software preferred.
  • Availability: Available to work full-time hours.
