Sociology Instructor

Germanna Community College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach sociology courses in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

• Teach sociology courses in a classroom environment
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
• Use relevant technology and learning management systems to facilitate teaching and learning
• Maintain consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms to ensure student success
• Embody a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and beyond

• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in sociology
• Official transcripts required prior to final offer
• Ability to use relevant technology and learning management systems
• Commitment to student engagement and virtual support
• Technology capability to teach remotely

• Prior teaching experience
• Work experience in the field of sociology
• Experience with online teaching
• Substantial experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses
