Sociology Instructor

Germanna Community College is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Sociology courses in a classroom environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively planning and delivering instruction to students with diverse academic backgrounds and experiences.

• Teach Sociology courses in a variety of modalities, including in-person and virtual settings.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and success.
• Use relevant technology and learning management systems to facilitate teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Maintain consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms to ensure student success.
• Embody a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and college community.

• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the specific discipline.
• Official transcripts required prior to final offer.
• Ability to demonstrate technology capability and commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education.
• Experience with online teaching and learning management systems preferred.
