Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Roseland Community Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography (CT) equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Image Capture and Analysis: Use CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues, ensuring high-quality images that meet medical standards.
  • Patient Positioning and Preparation: Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes, and troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Patient Communication and Support: Explain scanning procedures to patients, provide reassurance and support as required, and identify patient service requirements.
  • Inventory Management and Supply Chain: Maintain radiology and CT supply inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed supplies, and expediting orders.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and advise management on needed actions.
Requirements
  • State License and Certification: Possess a state license to work as a CT technologist and be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Experience and Education: Have proven experience working as a CT technologist and hold an associate's or bachelor's degree in radiography, or equivalent work experience.
  • CPR and BLS Certification: Possess current CPR and BLS certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 1-3 years of experience in clinical radiology and hands-on hospital experience
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in radiography, or equivalent work experience
