Responsibilities

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate, supervise, and implement patient care to patients from newborn to 18 years old. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of current acute care registered nursing experience in PICU and must complete a minimum of two days of specific pediatric education every two years.

The RN will be responsible for practicing autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act, and hospital job description specific to the unit. This position is critical to the success of Northridge Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission and organizational values of the Dignity Health system.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of Accredited RN school of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse with current California license
  • Minimum 1 year current acute care registered nursing experience in PICU
  • Must complete a minimum of two days of specific pediatric education every two years
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS required
  • LA City Fire Care required within 90 days of hire
