Job Summary

We're seeking an Accounting Intern to join our team. As an Accounting Intern, you will be responsible for collecting and obtaining approval and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner. You will also provide project teams with various ad hoc reports and analyses as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collects and obtains approval and processes through PCL business systems all accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner to meet all contract payment terms as per legislation, contract terms, and PCL policy and procedures.
  • Provides project team with various ad hoc reports and analyses as required.
  • Participates in year-end procedures as assigned.
  • Assembles client billings package in accordance with approval procedures and processes through PCL business systems to ensure the client is in receipt of billings on a timely basis and payments are received as per contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares bank deposits and enters cash receipts.
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
  • Supports finance and commercial risk management with special assignments, as required.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
