About the Role

This Administrative Officer position is a unique opportunity to join the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a key member of the Office of the Chief of Staff. As an Administrative Officer, you will provide critical support to the Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff, ensuring seamless execution of administrative tasks.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in administrative management and clerical functions, with a proven track record of providing expert technical interpretation of administrative policies and procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative matters related to the Office of the Chief of Staff.
  • Provide guidance on routine human resource issues and prepare Human Resources documents for use in recruitment efforts.
  • Manage credit card accounts, track expenditures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and execute budget plans, including preparation of financial reports and tracking of operating expenses.
  • Maintain the calendar of appointments, meetings, and other activities for the Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff.
  • Prepare travel orders, vouchers, and other administrative documents as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of specialized experience in administrative management and clerical functions.
  • Proven expertise in financial management, including budget planning and tracking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $63,000 - $96,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
