Pathologist - Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Specialist

Fulgent Genetics, a leading diagnostics laboratory, is seeking an experienced Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic interpretation of surgical pathology, frozen section pathology, and/or cytology material and electronic release of cases.
Key Responsibilities- Examine and interpret prepared tissue sections and body fluids and secretions using various microscope techniques, including light microscopy, electron microscopy, and fluorescence microscopy.
- Diagnose the presence and stage of disease or other abnormalities from body tissue, fluids, secretions, or other specimens, utilizing laboratory techniques and dictating findings.
- Identify the etiology, pathogenesis, morphological change, and clinical significance of diseases.
- Consult with referring physicians about ordering and interpreting tests or providing treatments.
- Provide diagnostic information to the treating/referring physician in the form of a written pathology report.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree.
- Unlimited and unrestricted license to practice medicine or osteopathy in the state in which the laboratory is located, and applicable states in which the laboratory receives specimens or be eligible to obtain licensure.
- Certified in anatomic or clinical pathology, or both, by the American Board of Pathology or American Osteopathic Board of Pathology or possess qualifications that are equivalent to those required for such certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years of pathology experience in a community hospital setting.
- Subspecialty board certification, if applicable and offered by the American Board of Pathology.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment visual color discrimination test.
