Job Title: Recreational Therapist PRN

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist PRN to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Recreational Therapist PRN to support our Inpatient Rehab and Day Neuro teams. The ideal candidate will have a medical recreation therapy experience with neurologic experience preferred. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with a variety of neurologic patient populations, including TBI, CVA, incomplete SCI, etc.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital, and the profession.
  • Provide therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned case load.
  • Orient patients to recreation therapy and provide campus-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs.
  • Serve as an educator to patients on community resources.
Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.
  • Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible to take exam required.
  • Should have certified experience in a medical setting.
