Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Fort Worth, TX. As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients with neurological conditions, such as TBI, CVA, and incomplete SCI, to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital, and the profession.
  • Provide therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned case load.
  • Orient patients to recreation therapy and provide campus-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs.
  • Serve as an educator to patients on community resources.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.
  • Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible to take exam required.
  • Should have certified experience in a medical setting.
