Position Summary:

The Security Operations Specialist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive security support across various government security mandates, ensuring the implementation of essential physical security measures for operational facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist personnel in completing security clearance documentation utilizing electronic systems to guarantee compliance and timely processing.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for security systems and databases, managing personnel security clearances and visit requests.
  • Collaborate with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency to coordinate security clearance requirements.
  • Oversee additional security protocols, including special accesses and debriefings, while liaising with government entities and stakeholders.
  • Review and ensure compliance with contractual security requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleared personnel and security documentation.
  • Respond to security alarms and maintain accountability for classified materials.
  • Prepare necessary reports and notifications in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct self-inspections and ensure adherence to security protocols.
  • Serve as the Information System Security Manager for automated systems handling classified information.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; additional college education preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant security experience in a corporate or government setting.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a Top Secret clearance with the capability to obtain an SCI.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in standard office software applications.
  • Experience with security databases and systems.
