Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Development Specialist III to join our team at the University of Texas at Dallas. As a key member of our Callier Center, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive developmental programs for preschool populations. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the educational experience of our young students, fostering their cognitive, emotional, and social growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide educational activities in a 3-year-old to Kindergarten setting, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
• Assist in mainstreaming activities, promoting socialization and integration among special populations.
• Conduct regular parent conferences, providing updates on student progress and fostering open communication.
• Develop assessment plans for periodic evaluations, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data.
• Plan staff development experiences, promoting ongoing education and professional growth among team members.

Requirements

• An associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, or elementary education.
• Alternatively, an associate's degree in any field with at least 36 college credit hours of early childhood education, child development, or elementary education coursework.
• Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation criteria and HighScope curriculum is highly desirable.
• Experience working with preschool-age children, preferably in a lead teacher role.
• Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
