Job Summary

Transdev, a leading provider of public transportation services, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Charter Coordinator to support its operations in the Boston area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating bus trip requests, determining map routes, and providing trip details to drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate bus trip requests through electronic systems, email, and phone calls.
  • Enter bus trips into Transdev's VDS system and provide trip details to drivers.
  • Determine map routes and assign driver coverage for charter trips.
  • Provide bus trip information to dispatchers and assign dispatcher coverage for weekend charters and special events.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including writing letters, generating reports, and drafting pay-memos.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as the driver's collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three years of experience in office coordination or transportation field operations is preferred.
  • Dispatching experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential.
  • Ability to work with a team, work independently, and adapt to a non-traditional work schedule.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
