Job Summary

The Center for Energy and Environment is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Energy Counselor to join our team. As an Energy Counselor, you will work with customers to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, providing personalized guidance and support to help them achieve their energy goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits to assess energy use and provide recommendations for energy-saving products and services
  • Install energy-efficient products such as LED light bulbs and energy-efficient shower heads
  • Consult with customers to understand their energy goals and concerns
  • Teach customers about energy use and encourage low-cost and no-cost energy-saving measures
  • Communicate with coworkers to discuss upgrade recommendations and product inventory

Requirements

  • Display genuine interest in residential energy efficiency and a willingness to expand your knowledge base on the subject
  • Demonstrate excellent customer relations and communication skills
  • Showcase strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work in team settings
  • Be capable of lifting 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record
