As the Plant Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facility, ensuring that all aspects of the plant are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing the maintenance and repair of equipment, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a business plan that supports the health center's strategic goals.
  • Participate in capital equipment allocation and capital improvements.
  • Schedule equipment installations and capital improvement projects.
  • Operate the department within budget guidelines.
  • Maintain the facility by assigning work orders and PMs and following up to assure work is completed.
  • Chapter Leader of both Life Safety, and Environment of Care for Joint Commission Standards.
  • Holds the responsibility of Hospital Safety Officer and Chairs Safety committee.
  • Communicates with CEO, CFO, CNO and Department Directors on a regular basis.
  • Files Local, State, and EPA reports.
  • Responsible for contracting natural gas futures and hedges.
  • Coordinates unit, office, department moves within the facility.
  • Maintains records and organizes information.
  • Works with staff to develop leadership skills, resolve issues, and create a team response to issues.
  • Actively involved in energy audits and cost containment measures.
  • Assures appropriate level of understanding, awareness and compliance with all applicable Joint Commission, CMS, state and local agency laws, internal/external regulations, guidelines, policies, procedures and professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge for OSHA compliance.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Hospital Admin, or Technical Training is preferred.
  • 5 years work experience as facilities manager. Work experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Engineering and basic safety knowledge in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • CHFM or CBET within 1 year of employment.
