POSITION SUMMARY
The Safety Operations Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of personnel on job sites.

Key responsibilities encompass planning, executing, and overseeing project safety in alignment with Federal, State, and local Health and Safety regulations, as well as Environment (HSE) regulations, site safety, and corporate policies.

The ideal candidate is dependable, a self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal oversight from management, and willing to travel to various job sites.


LOCATION:
Chandler, AZ

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise essential work plan activities to ensure adherence to the approved work plan.

Conduct job site inspections and review safety-related documentation.


Ensure field operations comply with current OSHA regulations, Murray Company policies, and the rules set forth by Owners or General Contractors as specified in contracts.


Assist in training initiatives as necessary for projects, ensuring all on-site employees possess the required training and discuss upcoming training needs with the project team, aiding in the scheduling of classes.

Support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations for job sites and develop safety alerts based on findings.

Ensure proper management of work-related injuries and appropriate care for injured employees.


Develop and implement procedures to mitigate hazards and situations identified through lessons learned and investigations from previous incidents.

Provide assistance to the Safety Department and project team as required for specific safety-related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required

10+ years of experience managing safety across multiple job sites.

CPR Certification

Experience in the Construction Safety industry

Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or a related field.

CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)

STSC (Safety Trained Safety Certified)

CPR Training Certification

Prior experience with a mechanical contractor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May require lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying 10 to 30 pounds occasionally.

Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision and distance vision, as well as proficiency in working on a computer.

Regular standing is required while performing job duties.

Utilization of hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, or pick up items and operate a computer.

Occasional reaching above shoulder height may be necessary.

Ability to communicate verbally and hear effectively.

Physical activities include walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs and ladders, and walking on uneven surfaces or terrain (for assisting with project job walks and site inspections).
