School Based Personal Care Aide Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Based Personal Care Aide to join our team at Interim HealthCare of NEPA. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide hands-on personal care, report changes in the client's condition, and perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow school policies and procedures
  • Assist in keeping the client on task in a classroom setting
  • Redirect when necessary in the case of disruption
  • Assist with bathroom duties, as needed
  • Ensure that the child is safe and not harming others
  • Report observations or concerns to Interim supervisor
Requirements:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have six (6) months experience in relative field; behavioral health, pediatrics, etc.
  • CPR and First Aide Certificate; preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be willing to undergo Pre-Employment Screenings
