Urology Department Chair Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced physician leader to serve as the Chair of the Urology Department at West Virginia University. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the academic mission, strategy, and operations of the department, while maintaining a strong commitment to clinical care, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the academic mission, strategy, and operations of the Urology Department
- Lead a team of faculty and staff to deliver high-quality patient care, education, and research
- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, aligned with the university's strategic plan
- Collaborate with other departments and institutions to advance the field of urology
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Urology residency program
- Certification by the American Board of Urology
- Medical licensure in the State of West Virginia
- Current medical school appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level
- At least 10 years of clinical practice experience and 3 years of administrative experience in an academic medical center
