Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Grant Development Specialist to join our team at MSCCN. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing grants from federal, state, and local funding sources to support County projects and programs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with department heads, project directors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage grant proposals, budgets, and reports to ensure alignment with funder guidelines.
  • Coordinate project setup, subcontract development, progress reports, and subrecipient monitoring.
  • Oversee all grant activity within the County, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to department heads and staff on grant writing, management, and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of State and Federal grant processes, including budgeting and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Maryland Driver's License and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Salary:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
