Job Title: Server

At Ditka's Restaurant Group, we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests, ensuring that every visit is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage guest dining experiences from seating to departure, ensuring a pleasant and memorable experience.
  • Ensure proper handling of company funds and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding safe and lawful alcohol beverage service.
  • Warmly greet guests, understand Steps of Service, and serve guests per established standards.
  • Work in a team environment, assist other servers and team members as needed, and participate in team service.
  • Suggestive selling is an important part of this position, requiring the ability to answer relevant questions and assist guests in their selections.
  • Follow all company procedures relative to guest age verification for alcohol sales and ensure all food and beverages prepared meet company quality and presentation standards.
  • Complete pre-shift, running shift, and post-shift set-up, prep, cleaning, and stocking as outlined and in accordance with established company standards.
  • Alert management immediately if there is any suspicion that a guest is intoxicated and should be refused service for their safety and the safety of others.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the restaurant, including hours of operation, directions, food and beverage menu selections, and general restaurant information.
  • Guest complaint resolution expert, bringing any issues to the attention of the manager on duty.
  • Acknowledge guests as they leave and invite them to come back to the restaurant.
  • Assist in the ongoing cleanliness and maintenance of all dining and service areas, reporting any deficiencies to management.
  • Ensure a harassment-free environment through proper personal conduct and uphold safety and security standards at all times.
  • Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects and maintain a professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a food server in a full-service restaurant concept or equivalent experience in the full-service restaurant business.
  • Food Safety and BASSET Certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate an ability to focus on the needs of a guest.
  • Ability to use POS systems preferred.
  • A leadership role in the restaurant industry preferred.
