Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the University of Pennsylvania. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of all aspects of our campus buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of building equipment and systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Install, repair, and maintain building equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace equipment as needed.
  • Work with a team of mechanics to complete projects and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of campus facilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational certification and 3-5 years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
