Senior Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Technician to join our team at The Tri-M Group, LLC. As a Senior Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing independent field hardware and software support on building automation systems, including HVAC control systems, security systems, and life-safety support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with and ensure compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
- Perform field preventative maintenance checks on electronic systems.
- Provide field hardware support on electronic controllers, control devices, pneumatic systems, and other system components.
- Provide direct customer interface with difficult hardware and software service situations.
- Complete all necessary PM, work ticket, material list, and credit paperwork to support field work and provide customers with required weekly paperwork.
- Provide high-end controller software support to customers as necessary.
- Perform repairs on desktop PCs and associated networks.
- Provide 24-hour on-call hardware and software service availability.
- Install and supervise system additions and turnkey systems and provide front-end and operational software support.
- Provide on-the-job training for all service technicians.
- Provide direct interface with other vendors on site to resolve conflicts between different control systems.
- Assist in estimating service system additions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; electrical/mechanical associates degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience with building automation systems or in a related field.
- Ability to understand design and design-intent of HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and control drawings, specifications, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
- Working knowledge of building automation systems software.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with proven mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and their components.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage people, including the ability to handle difficult situations in a constructive, non-confrontational manner.
- Ability to organize and administer multiple jobs and tasks with good attention to detail.
- Above-average knowledge of electrical trade and applicable electrical codes as they apply to building automation systems.
- Knowledge of and ability to deal with other construction trades.
- Must be confident, decisive, and self-motivated and able to make independent decisions.
- Above-average math and logic skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a frequently changing schedule to meet customer demands.
