Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Pharmacist to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of infusion and injectable therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations and maintaining compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Lead the activities of pharmacy technicians and delivery/equipment technicians, ensuring quality, security, and proper disposal of pharmaceuticals.
  • Dispense, compound, and plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Assist the patient delivery representative in orders, receiving, maintaining, and tracking all infusion-related equipment.
  • May be required to travel to different worksites and other locations as necessary.
Requirements
  • Requires a BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D and a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Pharmacist in clinic and/or alternate site/home health pharmacy service.
  • Requires current active unrestricted license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
  • Multi-state licensure is required if providing services in multiple states.
  • Sterile compounding experience is preferred.
