Position Summary:
The Customer Success Team is dedicated to maximizing the value that SmithRx's clients receive from our PBM services. We build and maintain strong relationships with our customers' operational leadership, articulating the value of our services in alignment with their business objectives to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. We proactively identify potential risks to client satisfaction and work collaboratively across product and operational teams to pursue effective solutions and advocate for our clients.
As a Clinical Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the complete post-sale success and satisfaction of SmithRx customers through pharmacy benefit analysis and clinical consultation. You will leverage your extensive industry knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor and business partner for clinical pharmacy services to your clients' operational leadership. This role involves providing clinical support and enablement for account management, clinical operations, and other internal departments. You will be expected to deliver proactive clinical recommendations and insights regarding pharmacy trends, programs, and industry developments to clients, fostering consultative relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and account managers to offer clinical expertise, including insights on drug expenditure, utilization, clinical management strategies, medication alternatives, and formulary compliance.
- Deliver exceptional clinical consultation and account management focused on client satisfaction, retention, and trend management.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of formulary and clinical programs to clients.
- Facilitate communication regarding formulary changes and program updates for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Recommend clinical programs that provide cost savings for clients and their members.
- Stay informed about market trends and supply clinical market intelligence to clients.
- Provide drug information to clients and address plan-specific clinical inquiries.
- Create and update clinical marketing materials.
- Guide account management on clinical aspects during client quarterly reviews (QBRs), including quarterly spending, trends, and benchmark updates for pharmacy benefits.
- Incorporate treatment and practice guidelines into client presentations, identifying up-selling opportunities.
- Analyze data and interpret drug benefit designs, clearly communicating analytical and reporting needs to supporting departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and Advanced Degree in Pharmacy, RPh or Pharm D.
- Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license (any state).
- 5+ years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
- 3+ years of knowledge in healthcare benefits, account management, pharmacy benefits, or commercial health insurance preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role with external clients required.
- Strong executive-level communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver formal presentations.
- A genuine passion for enhancing the customer experience and ensuring customer satisfaction.
