Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at Maintainer Corp of Iowa. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, data entry, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial data in our computer system
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and vendors
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, typing, and mail sorting
  • Assist with generating invoices, deposit slips, and other financial documents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. A two-year associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, but not required. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires frequent lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds. You will be required to sit for long periods of time and use a computer, typewriter, and calculator. You will also be exposed to moving mechanical machinery and fumes.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $19-$22 per hour.
