We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at St. Claire HealthCare. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing medical nutrition therapy to our patients, collaborating with the healthcare team to identify patients at high nutrition risk, and developing and implementing personalized nutrition care plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and screenings to identify patients' nutritional needs.
- Develop, facilitate, and evaluate nutrition care plans for assigned patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients receiving enteral nutrition support, monitoring their progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide nutrition and diabetes education to patients, as well as their families and caregivers.
- Serve as a resource for reliable nutrition information to the St. Claire HealthCare staff, promoting interdisciplinary teamwork and best practices within the organization.
- Participate in the education and training of dietetic interns and students, sharing your expertise and knowledge with the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university and completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Dietetic Internship.
- Must be RD Eligible, with a strong background in diabetes education and experience working in an acute care hospital setting.
- Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and Licensed Dietitian (LD) certification from the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators.
- Experience working with patients with diabetes and other chronic conditions.
