As a Cardiovascular Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Operating Room Hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of experienced medical staff, your primary duties will include:
1. Assisting Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, and Cardiovascular Surgeons during various procedures.
2. Preparing patients for interventions and ensuring their comfort and safety.
3. Operating and maintaining essential medical equipment, ensuring its optimal functionality.
4. Monitoring patient vitals and documenting critical events, including hemodynamic calculations.
5. Adhering to radiation safety protocols and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
6. Assisting with patient transport as necessary.
7. Performing quality control checks as required.
8. Being available for on-call duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of accredited Cardiovascular Technology training.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with a commitment to obtain ART certification within six months of hire.
- Proficiency in PACS, Angiography, and Cardiovascular monitoring, along with the ability to operate auxiliary equipment.
- A minimum of one year of experience in cardiovascular technology or related fields, including monitoring and use of electrophysiology equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cardiovascular Technologist certification.
Special Conditions:
- Ability to wear lead aprons and work flexible hours based on departmental needs.
- Employment is contingent upon a criminal background check and a pre-employment physical examination.
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. The anticipated hourly rate reflects the University’s commitment to equitable pay practices.
