Vascular Technologist PRN Position

The Vascular Technologist PRN position at St. David's North Austin Medical Center offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our medical team. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Your expertise and professionalism will be valued as you work closely with licensed practitioners to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Consistently produce high-quality vascular scans for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.
- Demonstrate expertise in vascular sonography and identify upper and lower extremity venous anatomy.
- Perform upper and lower extremity Venous Duplex protocols for DVT or Venous Insufficiency.
- Identify upper and lower extremity arterial anatomy and perform protocols for arterial flow exams.
- Operate vascular ultrasound units efficiently and effectively.
- Associate Degree in a patient-care related field or a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- One year of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer or one year of previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
