Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant - Rehabilitation Specialist

About the Role:
At Solomon Speech Therapy, we are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As an OTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients and helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Assisting patients with daily living skills and evaluating their abilities and limitations.
• Instructing patients and families on basic living skills and adaptive equipment use.
• Monitoring patients' rehabilitative activities and providing encouragement.
• Maintaining accurate records of patients' progress and documenting their health insurance bills.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
• A graduate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current OTA license in good standing with the State licensing board.
• At least one year of OTA experience, preferably in a corresponding setting.
• Federal- and State-credentials current and on file.

Working Conditions:
This is a physically demanding position that requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist with patient transfers and lifts. A moderate degree of strength is required, and proper body mechanics and procedures for lifting/moving patients must be followed to prevent back injury.

Benefits:
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $$30-$40 per hour, depending on experience. This is a 12-month paid position with approximately 10 months of work during the school year. The job is located in a school district, and the hours of work will consist of an average of 7 hours per day plus any driving time to school facilities.
