Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team at Gee & Zhang, LLP. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our attorneys and assist with immigration cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with immigration cases, including preparing and filing applications and petitions.
  • Prepare forms and documents according to client information.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation.
  • Monitor the status of filed applications and petitions.
  • Perform research to obtain information on company background, industry, and immigration procedures.
  • Initiate contact with government officials to obtain necessary information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising attorney.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree - Required.
  • Minimum two years legal assistance experience - Preferred.
  • Immigration experience - Preferred.
  • Foreign language fluency - Preferred.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, Excel - Required.
  • Other office software knowledge is helpful, but not required.
  • Individual must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and have strong analytic and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize cases, manage caseload, and other tasks.
