About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Deli Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our deli department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing fresh and easy meals, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers
  • Prepare and present high-quality deli products, including meats, cheeses, and specialty items
  • Maintain a clean and organized deli department, including equipment and storage areas
  • Operate a slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment, and assist in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Work in extreme temperatures (freezer or cooler) and lift/carry product horizontally/vertically weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and productive team environment
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have good communication skills, with the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
